History
ASTON MARTIN:
Aston Martin is a British manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers.
World leading design, exceptional engineering and extraordinary craftsmanship are central to Aston Martin’s ethos of Power, Beauty and Soul, and each and every Aston Martin is an expression of this.
Founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, the firm became associated with luxury grand touring cars in the 1950s and 1960s. After being rescued by Sir David Brown the DB models were born and would then become famously associated with the fictional character James Bond following his use of a DB5 model in the 1964 film Goldfinger and also the use of the DB9 in Casino Royal.
This film also allowed Aston Martin to break a record…The Guinness Book of World Records confirmed that the DBS performed 7 whole cannon rolls…this is the most performed by a car!
Back in 1982, The Prince of Wales awarded a Royal Warrant of Appointment to the company, and still holds this to this day.
An Aston Martin Driving Experience is a definite must for a lover of true British icons!
